Alex Smith

I am an experienced education professional with a Master’s Degree in Education and an NPQ in Senior Leadership as well as over ten years’ experience mentoring trainee teachers, Early Career Teachers, and more experienced colleagues, supporting professional growth at every stage.

Currently an Assistant Headteacher within Matrix Academy Trust, I lead on attendance, driving strategic improvement and positive outcomes for pupils. I have extensive experience in leading academic faculties and pastoral teams, with a strong track record of developing staff, improving systems, and fostering a culture of high expectations and inclusion.

Charlie McMann

I am a new facilitator this year (2025/26), having worked for Manor Multi Academy Trust for over ten years, initially as a teacher, assistant headteacher then deputy headteacher.  My experience is within primary school settings, across all phases, with a special interest in maths, personal development, neurodiversity in children and history. I have now begun to facilitate across the Early Career Teacher Induction Programme, as well as worked with a number of ECTs over the years, supporting them to develop their knowledge and skills in a relatable way that allows them to feel they can ask questions and dig deeper into their current practice and reflect.
