
Facilitator Profiles
Teri Oakshott-Marston (NPQSENCO)
Teri is an Assistant Head Teacher and SENDCo at a medical and mental health Alternative Provision in the West Midlands. She graduated with BA (Hons) in English Literature with English Language Studies from Birmingham City University in 2008 before beginning her teaching career with a PGCE in English from Newman University College in 2010. Teri has taught and led on SEND across both primary and secondary mainstream settings, having completed NASENCO in 2014, before moving to Alternative Provision. Teri delivers outreach work and training as part of her role and continues to have a passion for inclusive practice in all school settings.

Emily Hanson (ECTP)
I am an experienced education professional with a Master’s Degree in Education and an NPQ in Senior Leadership as well as over ten years’ experience mentoring trainee teachers, Early Career Teachers, and more experienced colleagues, supporting professional growth at every stage.
Currently an Assistant Headteacher within Matrix Academy Trust, I lead on attendance, driving strategic improvement and positive outcomes for pupils. I have extensive experience in leading academic faculties and pastoral teams, with a strong track record of developing staff, improving systems, and fostering a culture of high expectations and inclusion.

Hannah Abbiss (ECTP)
I am a new facilitator this year (2025/26), having worked for Manor Multi Academy Trust for over ten years, initially as a teacher, assistant headteacher then deputy headteacher. My experience is within primary school settings, across all phases, with a special interest in maths, personal development, neurodiversity in children and history. I have now begun to facilitate across the Early Career Teacher Induction Programme, as well as worked with a number of ECTs over the years, supporting them to develop their knowledge and skills in a relatable way that allows them to feel they can ask questions and dig deeper into their current practice and reflect.

Amber Norwood (ECTP)
I am a primary school teacher with 14 years’ experience, working exclusively in KS2 and predominantly as a Year 6 teacher. I am currently an Assistant Headteacher and lead on Maths, KS2, Humanities and Assessment. Alongside my school-based leadership roles, I have completed two NPQs in Senior Leadership and Leading Teacher Development.
Although new to facilitation, I bring a supportive and knowledgeable approach, drawing on first-hand classroom and leadership experience. I am committed to creating inclusive spaces where participants feel confident to reflect, challenge their thinking and grow their practice.


Wendy Jackson (NPQSENCO and ECTP)
I am a School Improvement Coach and Teaching School Facilitator with extensive leadership experience across primary education. Formerly a headteacher and a qualified SENDCo, I now work across schools to support high-quality teaching, inclusive practice and the development of Teachers. I have facilitated on both the NPQ SENDCo and the Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction programme. I am passionate about tailoring professional development to the context and needs of each participant to build confident professionals who grow their own practice and create environments where both staff and pupils can flourish.

Jess Miller (ECTP)
Jess has worked alongside Manor Teaching Hub over the last two academic years. Outside of facilitation, she is a secondary English and curriculum specialist who works as part of the School Improvement Team for Matrix Academy Trust. Jess is an experienced English lead who has a keen professional interest in curriculum design and is driven by an enthusiasm for pedagogical research and how it can be utilised to enrich the lives and outcomes of all pupils. This passion stems from her academic background; she completed both a bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology and a master’s degree in Child Psychology at Keele University. In addition to this, she has also completed postgraduate research in Education, with a particular focus on vocabulary instruction. Jess has facilitated across the ECT induction programme and takes great pleasure in supporting colleagues in developing both their pedagogy and confidence in the classroom.

Rob Dangerfield (ECTP)
Robert works on the School Improvement Team across Matrix Academy Trust, with specific responsibility for English and Oracy, preparing leaders for the rigours of inspection and supporting staff at all levels to drive and effect positive change in the classroom and across the whole school. As part of his Trust role, Robert undertakes work for the Department for Education as part of the RISE initiative, as well as offering external support and consultancy for schools across Walsall. Prior to taking a Trust-wide role, Robert has worked extensively across Sandwell, Wolverhampton and the Black Country in a variety of Middle and Senior Leadership roles, including Whole School Teaching and Learning, Literacy, Reading, Pupil Premium, and the line management of English, as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

Billy Feenan (NPQLT and NPQLTD)
I have been a facilitator for Manor Teaching School Hub for over two years on both the NPQLT and NPQLTD programmes. I previously completed the NPQSL with Manor TSH and I strive to include my personal learning and experience of the course into my facilitation. I have been a faculty leader of science in secondary schools for 14 years as well as working as a facilitator for STEM Learning alongside my role as a safeguarding link governor at a secondary school. As a facilitator, I encourage participants to apply their learning principles to their own contexts as well as the diverse range of contexts of their cohort.

Lindsey Daniels
Lindsey Daniels has worked in education since 2011 and has held leadership roles since 2021. Her areas of specialism include curriculum development, teaching and learning, and professional development (CPD).
Lindsey brings both practical and strategic expertise to her work. She has completed National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) herself under both the previous and current frameworks, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the programmes from a participant’s perspective.
Since 2022, Lindsey has led the NPQLT and NPQLBC programmes and has also worked as an assessor, supporting participants to successfully apply their learning in their own settings. She is passionate about developing leaders at all levels and ensuring professional learning is rigorous, evidence-informed, and impactful.

Alicia Clarke
I have been teaching for 11 years having started as a SCITT trainee with Barr Beacon SCITT in 2014. I am currently Assistant Headteacher with a passion for all things Curriculum and Teaching. I’ve recently spent a lot of time looking at the TLAC strategies so I love using those in my training and lessons.

Joanne Flowers
I am an experienced school leader with a background as a Secondary History Teacher, Head of Year, and SENCo across both mainstream and specialist settings. I am currently the Head of School of a specialist provision in Sandwell. I am passionate about inclusivity and improving outcomes for the most vulnerable learners. As a facilitator for the NPQSENCo course, I am committed to supporting and developing the next generation of SEND leaders.

Felicity Cananan
I am an experienced facilitator and have worked closely with Manor Teaching School Hub for 5 years, including previously leading secondary ECT provision. I am a secondary teacher of French and Spanish, and now lead MFL and international across our Trust as part of our School Improvement Team. I have also been an Assistant and Deputy Headteacher. I have facilitated across both the ECT programme and NPQ courses, supporting teachers and leaders to reflect and learn together.

Kate Rathbone (ECTP)
I am new to facilitating and have worked within Manor Multi Academy Trust for four years. My background is in early years and primary education, and I currently work as an Assistant Headteacher, SENCo and Key Stage 1 Lead. I also have experience leading EYFS and early reading and phonics across school settings. I bring a reflective, supportive and practice focused approach to facilitation, drawing on current classroom leadership to create inclusive spaces where participants feel confident to share, ask questions and develop their practice.

Victoria Day (NPQEYL)
I am a Walsall-based Assistant Head Teacher with over two decades of expertise in EYFS and KS1 education. Dedicated to continuous school improvement, I specialise in upskilling leaders and practitioners through high-quality, evidence-informed training.
My approach is defined by deep collaboration with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), Billesley Research School, and the Early Years Thrive Together Stronger Practice Hub.
By combining the latest research with practical application, I deliver leadership development that drives standards up and ensures every child receives an excellent foundation for life.

Nicola Hart (NPQEYL)
I am an experienced NPQEYL facilitator and have worked with Manor Teaching School Hub for the last five years. My background is in Early Years and Primary Education, having spent the last ten years driving Early Years attainment in schools and settings, for a local authority in the West Midlands. During that time I worked with others to develop and deliver training packages and improvement programmes, mainly for early years leaders. I am also a director of a large daycare setting where I am involved in developing policies and procedures and in monitoring and improving the quality of the provision. I bring practical experience and an understanding approach to facilitation, creating a positive, can do environment where we all learn from each other.

Tim Evers (NPQSL)
I am a Deputy Headteacher at Etone College with over 12 years’ experience in senior leadership, specialising in pastoral leadership and teacher development. I have worked extensively in schools serving high-deprivation communities and am committed to improving outcomes for all students through inclusive and values-driven leadership. I have previously completed the NPQH and facilitated on the NPQLBC. I currently facilitate on the NPQSL programme, supporting the development of current and aspiring school leaders.
I am known for being a supportive, dynamic and adaptable leader and facilitator, with a strong ability to link educational theory to real life, practical examples. This enables programme participants to apply their learning and drive meaningful improvement in their schools throughout the programme.

Michael Eszrenyi (ECTP)
In my current role I am the SCITT Director for BBSCITT, a part of Matrix Academy Trust, and I lead Initial Teacher Training across both primary and secondary phases. I have previously worked as a secondary German teacher at Barr Beacon School and an Assistant Headteacher in a quality of education role. I thoroughly enjoy facilitating Manor’s ECT and mentor conferences, which I have done since 2021. The conferences are a brilliant opportunity to delve into the research that underpins our classroom practice, relate this to high-quality, practical examples to take away and reflect on our work and progress as teachers.

Ceri Porter (ECTP)
I am the Deputy Director of Manor Teaching School Hub and regularly facilitate Early Career Teacher and mentor induction events, supporting participants to grow in confidence, develop their practice, and strengthen their professional identity. I bring a strong background in secondary education, having taught French and Spanish, led a curriculum area, and served in a senior leadership role focused on improving the quality of education across the school.
I take a practical, supportive, and inclusive approach to facilitation, creating spaces where all participants feel empowered to reflect, share, and learn. I draw on insights from all stakeholders to inform practice in ways that have a positive impact on the young people they teach. I am passionate about facilitation and particularly enjoy bringing content to life through concrete examples, real classroom experiences, and purposeful discussion that bridges theory and day-to-day practice.

Caroline Dawes
I am Deputy Headteacher at East Park Academy, part of the Manor Multi-Academy Trust. In my current role, I lead behaviour, curriculum, safeguarding, Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and standards and assessment.
Previously, I have led across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, as well as serving as Primary Maths Lead. With nearly twenty years of teaching experience across a range of year groups, I bring breadth and depth of expertise to my leadership. However, my particular passion lies in Year 6, where I value the opportunity to prepare pupils academically and personally for the transition to secondary education.
Alongside my school-based leadership, I have facilitated a range of professional development programmes across trusts, including NPQSL, NPQML and, most recently, the Early Career Teacher Induction Programme (ECTIP), supporting the development of current and aspiring leaders.

Julie Mills
As an experienced facilitator, I am committed to creating meaningful professional learning experiences that genuinely make a difference. I hope to bring our conferences, programmes, and clinics to life, supporting colleagues to grow in confidence, develop their pedagogy, and strengthen their impact on children.
Driven by a deep passion for inclusion, I draw on extensive leadership experience as a former Headteacher and SENDCo to ensure every child’s needs are understood and met. Now serving as Head of Inclusion for Manor Multi Academy Trust, I continue to champion high‑quality professional development rooted in inclusive practice. My passion lies in ensuring every child thrives, and in walking alongside colleagues on their professional journey to help make that happen.

Rachael James
I am an experienced facilitator with over two years’ experience working with Manor Teaching School Hub. With a background in primary education and over two years’ experience as a Head of School, I bring both strategic leadership insight and practical classroom expertise to my work.
I have facilitated across the NPQLT, supporting participants to strengthen their practice and build confidence in their leadership. My approach to facilitation is supportive, practical and grounded in real-world experience. I create inclusive, reflective spaces where teachers feel encouraged to share openly, challenge their thinking and grow professionally.

Mike Brewerton
I am an experienced primary practitioner with 13 years of teaching across Years 2, 4 and 5, and have held roles as a year group leader and phase leader. I am currently an Assistant Head Teacher in a three‑form entry primary school, with strategic responsibility for EYFS and Year 2, alongside my role as a Year 2 class teacher and year group leader. I have completed the NPQML and NPQTL, strengthening my leadership practice and strategic impact. Over the past three years, I have facilitated ECT and Mentor conferences and clinics for Ambition, supporting early career teachers and mentors to develop confidence, clarity and strong classroom practice.

Keith Rondeau (NPQH, HPQEL)
I am an experienced facilitator with over two years’ experience working with Manor Teaching School Hub. With a background in primary education and over two years’ experience as a Head of School, I bring both strategic leadership insight and practical classroom expertise to my work.

John Billingham
I am an experienced facilitator and have worked with Manor Teaching School Hub for the past three years. My background is in secondary education, where I currently serve as an Assistant Headteacher within the Quality of Education team. Originally a PE specialist, I now lead on literacy, supporting whole‑school development in teaching and learning. I bring an encouraging, reflective and practical approach to facilitation, helping colleagues strengthen their practice and confidence.

Fern Hall
I have worked within Manor MAT for over four years and currently serve as Assistant Headteacher at East Park, where I oversee teaching and learning across the school. I also lead English across the whole school and work as the Key Stage 1 Phase Leader, ensuring strong provision and consistency in our youngest phase. Through these roles, I am committed to driving high-quality teaching, strengthening outcomes and fostering a genuine love of reading and writing for all pupils.
Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I mentor two Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and work closely with our Teaching School to support the ECT programme for both early career teachers and their mentors. This work is incredibly rewarding and I am passionate about supporting colleagues to grow in confidence, refine their practice and develop their own teaching identity. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing ECTs blossom into passionate, reflective teachers who are fully committed to making a difference in the classroom.
I believe strongly in collaborative professional development and in creating a supportive culture where teachers feel empowered to take risks, reflect and continually improve. My aim is always to champion both pupils and staff, ensuring that every classroom is a place where high-quality teaching and enthusiastic learning can thrive.
